A 1940s villa devoted to Wuyi rock tea, white and puer.

Tucked inside Yi Yuan, a 1940s legacy villa compound in the former French Concession. Focused on Min and Tai oolong (Wuyi yancha, Tieguanyin), aged white tea, and puer. Quiet, scholarly atmosphere with an emphasis on serious tasting rather than passing trade.

An unsigned gallery-teahouse hybrid near Hengshan Road.

Discreet teahouse and gallery hybrid near Hengshan Road. No prominent signage, winding entrance through a planted courtyard. Inside it opens into a series of small tasting rooms with rotating contemporary art. Loved by locals for its quiet and its uncommercial mood.
