Taiwan Zi Juan (Purple Beauty)

A purple-leaf cultivar from Yunnan, grown as a green tea in the Mingjian hills of Nantou. High anthocyanins darken the leaf and push notes of grape and dried cherry. The brew runs pale, faintly pink. A rare Taiwan green worked from this plant.
