Completely different from Sri Lanka's high-grown Ceylons. Low-grown Ruhunu is dark, strong, full-bodied with pronounced astringency and malty depth. The southern soil gives the leaf its distinctive blackness. Represents over 60% of Sri Lanka's total production.
