Short days, long steeps
The teas worth opening in December are the ones that have been waiting.
Aged sheng puer needs years, sometimes decades, before it settles into the dried fruit and woodsy warmth that defines the form. Aged white tea transforms more quietly: the floral freshness of Bai Mu Dan slowly becomes honeyed and dry. These are teas for short days and long evenings. Patience in the cup is patience in the making.
