Ujeon means 'before rain,' the earliest and most prized harvest in the Korean tea calendar. Hadong's plants are descended from seeds said to have been brought from Tang Dynasty China in the ninth century. The first-pick leaves are pan-fired by hand in the traditional sadenong method.
